קסידי מוכרת מהופעותיה בתפקיד קלרה בסדרת הדרמה התקופתית של ה-BBC "גן עדן לנשים",[1] סלין אשוורת' בסדרה הבלשית "ורה", בדמות האורקל בסדרת הפנטזיה "אולימפוס",[2] ובתפקיד הסטר בסדרת המדע בדיוני "אנושיים" של ערוץ 4.[3] היא שיחקה בתפקיד הלן בסרט הקולנוע "Survivor". קסידי הופיעה גם על במות התיאטרון.[4][5][6]
